JOB SUMMARY

The Area Sales Head (ASH) is in charge of cascading business plans, growth strategies and sales targets that emanate from top management, to members of his sales team.  He monitors its implementation on a regular basis and plans activities that are geared towards growing the business and achieving sales targets.  He likewise sets up activities that are focused on expanding the company’s customer base and ensuring its strong presence in the region.

The ASH is expected to build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with Distributors and Direct Accounts within his scope and understanding their needs.  By doing so, the SH can identify key areas for improvement in the sales process and make valuable recommendations to Management.  The SH should also be able to identify emerging market trends and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitor status. 

The ASH is also tasked to present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team on a regular basis.

Job Overview

The ASM is responsible for managing the sales force within his defined area. He is responsible for overseeing sales operations, meeting targets and managing the sales team in the area. 

 

The ASM is in charge of managing, training and motivating existing sales team to drive revenue growth.  He is responsible for planning and managing the efficient distribution of products his area.  He is likewise in charge of developing efficient and creative sales and marketing strategies for the assigned area and target setting for the sales team.

The ASM is also expected to continuously collect customer and market feedback and report the same to sales management/top management.  He is also in charge of monitoring sales team performance, analyzing sales data, performing periodical forecasting and sales reporting to the sales head.

Job OVERVIEW

The DS/DM is the point person in all of the Company’s dealings with distributors.  He is responsible for developing plans to build up weighted distribution in his assigned territory and developing in-store visibility plans in coordination with distributors.  He is responsible for the achievement of business objectives, including but not limited to sales distribution, collection, merchandising, and profit.  He is responsible for developing productive long-term relationships with current and future distributors via mutually agreed upon strategies, plans, and programs. 

The position plays a vital role in the preparation of annual volume and value targets and expense budgets.  He likewise collaborates with other departments to ensure availability of products in his territory.  The DS/DM also consistently explores his territory for business development opportunities and gives feedback to sales management/top management.
